Dr. Bryant K. Woodford, LPC, MDiv.

With over a decade of experience in Corporate America coaching and developing individuals, alongside more than two decades in ministry ensuring the spiritual well-being of parishioners, Dr. Bryant K. Woodford has seamlessly transitioned into providing licensed clinical care to individuals, couples, and families. His diverse corporate and spiritual background uniquely positions him to offer a holistic approach to mental health and well-being.

Dr. Bryant earned his Doctor of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, focusing on narrative therapy. He further honed his clinical skills at the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy in Vancouver, British Columbia. Specializing in narrative therapy, Dr. Bryant supports marginalized individuals as they work to rewrite and embrace a more hopeful personal narrative. While he is skilled in multiple therapeutic modalities, narrative therapy is his primary approach, allowing clients to explore and transform their stories.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bryant holds a Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, PA. His deep integration of theological and psychological training enables him to address his clients' spiritual and mental health needs. This unique combination is especially beneficial for queer clients seeking to reconcile their spirituality with their sexuality. Dr. Bryant is also a certified Transgender Care Professional (TCP) through the International Transgender Certification Association (ITCA).

While his therapeutic space is not intended for proselytizing, Dr. Bryant provides a compassionate environment for clients to explore their faith and spirituality, especially those grappling with theological concerns. Throughout his career, Dr. Bryant has worked closely with social justice advocates and individuals facing life's toughest challenges, including mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. He has also provided care for couples and families navigating various stages of their journey together.

Dr. Bryant is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington, DC, and a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). He continues to serve in ordained ministry as clergy with The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries (TFAM), maintaining his commitment to spiritual and clinical care.
